Further action required for US to meet Paris climate targets

While the US administration has announced it will sign the climate change agreement made in Paris nearly a year ago, reaching the targets set in the deal may be challenging according to a new study.

Even if the US can implement all the proposed policies, it would miss the 2025 target by as much as 1.5 billion metric tons of carbon dioxide per year—approximately 20% of the nation’s total emissions.
